Diagnostics of MED-EL Speech Processors

SATR Center is the official service center of MED-EL in Kazakhstan, authorized to accept the speech processors and their components for warranty and post-warranty repairs.
If any fault is revealed in the speech processor, for the purpose of its diagnostics it is required to get an appointment for a consultation with a SATR Center specialist by calling +7 (727) 394 45 13 or 394 46 23.
Spare parts and batteries for the power units can be purchased from SATR Center at 273В, Baizakov st. (intersection with Shevchenko st.) or from the online shop www.daru.kz (delivery within Kazakhstan is available).

SATR Center performs the full range of services related to warranty and post-warranty maintenance and repair of hearing aids in Almaty. SATR Center is the authorized center of Oticon A/S in Kazakhstan providing warranty and post-warranty maintenance of Oticon hearing aids.
The maintenance, diagnostics and repair of the hearing aids are carried out by certified personnel, who regularly improve their qualifications and attend trainings onsite at the hearing aid manufacturer’s premises.
Prior to the repair, the hearing aids’ diagnostics is performed to find any existing faults. During this process the reasons for the faults and their extent are revealed and components needing replacement are identified.

How the service center works
The service center performs maintenance and repair of all devices sold by SATR Center in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In case of any fault in a device, please contact our service engineer and describe the fault and its symptoms. The engineer will define and classify the fault and, if necessary, consult you on the troubleshooting via telephone +7 (727) 395 83 40. The equipment is accepted by the service center for the diagnostic and repair purposes solely if you fill in and submit a request. You can download the request form from our web-site www.satr.kz (see service center section) and, once you fill it in, email it to: This email address is being protected from spambots. Device diagnostics time varies between two and five business days from the date of delivery of the device to the service center. The maximum warranty/post-warranty repair period is 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date of delivery and signing of the handover certificate by the service center, unless the purchase agreement and/or warranty certificate stipulates otherwise. The above period does not include the time required to deliver the requisite spare parts from the manufacturer, to transport them to the service center and from the service center, as well as the time after the client is notified of the device’s readiness.

An accredited metrological service (testing laboratory) has been operating as a part of the Center since August 2013 to verify any hearing diagnostic (audiometric) equipment considered a measuring instrument and registered in Kazakhstan. The Center’s testing laboratory has been operating under the accreditation certificate # KZ.P.02.1402 dated August 29, 2018 according to the measurement classifier ST RK “Acoustic measurements. Code of the measurement type: 12.” 
The verification of the audiometric testing equipment (measuring equipment) is carried out by highly qualified specialists, verification officers of the testing laboratory who are certified as “acoustic measuring equipment verifier” and additionally trained at the manufacturers’ premises to verify, repair and service the equipment.
According to verification requirements, as well as the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on technical regulations and assurance of measurements' uniformity, audiometric (measuring) equipment shall be subject to an obligatory annual verification to verify their compliance with the metrological and technical regulations and standards adopted in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The accuracy and validity of a diagnosis determined by the doctor based on the hearing diagnostics findings using the audiometric equipment depend on the precision of the audiometric testing equipment, that can be ensured solely by annual testing and calibration of such measuring equipment.
In addition, the Center is the only authorized service center for warranty and post-warranty maintenance, maintenance and repairs of PATH MEDICAL audiometric (measuring) equipment.
